This sounds like me. I have so much “naive” faith in humanity that it ends up biting me in the ass.

It just didn’t align with my beliefs. Integral to my faith in humanity was another naïve view: I thought everyone has a moral compass. I thought every human being knows right from wrong, and it was only the inability to act on it that separated criminals from the rest.
